I started with the sled dog sport in 2008 with 2 Huskies. Since then, my wife Gaby and I have set up our own Kennel (Nalbec Racing Siberian Huskies, www.facebook.com/Nalbec) with currently 14 dogs and the long term goal of working with 20 permanent dogs. I focus primarily on the 4-dog rig sprint class, but participate also in the bikjor, 1-dog and 2-dog scooter classes and the 6-dog rig class.We don't receive any snow where we live, so I much cherish some rare opportunities to train and race in the snow both in New Zealand and the USA.

I lead the local sled dog racing club (Ridge Runners Sled Dog Racing Club (www.facebook.com/RRSDRC) and with the help of many good friends and club members the club is hosting both national and IFSS worldcup races in New Zealand.

Aside from racing, we enjoy community outreach and education activities in an effort to grow our sport and public awareness.
