Antonio Ocanto informed us yesterday the sad news that Marcelo Frederico of Argentina was killed in a highway accident near his home in Tandil. He was training on a bicycle when struck by a car.

Marcelo was the canicross mens winner of the first South American Canicross and Bikejoring Championship held June 2005. As reigning South American champion he competed last December in the IFSS Dryland World Championships held in Maasmechelen, Belgium. He was a dedicated athlete whose interests included dogs and triathlon.
